Cosmetic breast augmentation and higher suicide risk
Abstract
During the last few years several large epidemiological studies have been done which emphasize a higher suicide risk in women who had breast augmentation surgery. Most often it is connected with preoperative psychiatric problems in these women. They are the only group, among women who had cosmetic surgery, with a proven higher suicide risk.
